Master of Science (M.S.)

Case offers a Master of Science degree in the following fields of study:

The school also offer an undesignated Master of Science degree.

Recognizing the different needs and objectives of master's students, two different plans are offered for most programs:

Thesis Option

Minimum requirements include:

  • 18 credits of course work beyond what is required for the B.S. degree
  • 9 credits of thesis work culminating in a thesis examination
Comprehensive Option

Minimum requirements include:

  • 27 credits of course work beyond what is required for the B.S. degree (at the discretion of the department, students may include 3 to 6 credits of Special Problems course work)
  • Achievement of a passing grade on the comprehensive examination
