LUBRIZOL CONTINUES SUPPORT OF TIME AND MEM PROGRAM
April 3, 2007

CLEVELAND - Paul Basar of Lubrizol Corporation was on the Case campus April 2 to present the first of two installments for a $40,000 gift to The Institute for Management and Engineering (TiME) this calendar year. Basar presented the check to Gary Wnek, faculty director of TiME, with Suzette Williamson, managing director of TiME, and John DeCola, the university's director of corporate development, looking on.
As one of Case's core industrial partners, Lubrizol has been very active in its support of TiME and its Master of Engineering and Management (MEM) program. Basar, who is business manager of fluid diagnostics at Lubrizol and a member of the TiME Advisory Board, fully appreciates the success the program has had in preparing students for success in business and industry.
"It has been my experience that MEM graduates are more fully prepared for the workplace as a result of their experiential learning process and the joint approach of engineering and management," Basar said. "I think it is imperative that the community and local industry show support for this type of program which can only enhance future economic development in our region."
